The Dangers of Typing SMS while Driving
The popularity of mobile devices has had some dangerous consequences. We know that mobile communications are linked to a significant increase in distracted driving which results in injury and loss of life.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that in 2010 driver distraction was the cause of 18 percent of all fatal crashes - with 3,092 people killed - and crashes resulting in an injury - with 416,000 people wounded.

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute found that text messaging creates a crash risk 23 times worse than driving while not distracted.

Eleven percent of drivers aged 18 to 20 who were involved in an automobile accident and survived admitted they were sending or receiving texts when they crashed. Distracted driving endangers life and property and the current levels of injury and loss are unacceptable.

Kaka was born in Brazilia. From age 4 to 7, his family lived in Cuiaba, following his father, a civil engineer. At age 7, the family moved to the city of Sao Paulo, in the neighborhood of Morumbi, near the stadium of Sao Paulo FC. As FIFA says, ” Kaka fails to fit the Brazilian stereo type of the kid from the favela who first played the game in the street with a ball made from rags. His talent was soon recognized. A professor called the family and suggested enrolling him in a football school. At age 8, Kaka was playing with Sao Paulo FC, where he succeeded in all categories. Tourist boats collided in Thailand, 42 injured
Thailand: Forty-two passengers were injured and two were missing after two boats carrying Thai and foreign tourists collided in the popular island beach party, police said Sunday.

The speedboats were ferryfying tourists to the Pha-Ngan island for a "Fullmoon" party, a monthly event that attracts thousands of young, mostly western tourists.

Many people say that examinations should be abolished because they are not the best measure of student’s capabilities. These people believe that students can study on their own and do better without the nagging worry and pressure exerted by examinations.

Yet, there are persuasive reasons to show that examinations should not be abolished. It is insufficient that teachers assign homework and correct it. Because this is not done under supervision, they cannot be sure that it is really the work of the students themselves. Moreover, homework is not a test of student’s ability. Homework is a method of merely keeping him occupied.

Nowadays, in the hunt for jobs, students need to produce some evidence of their capabilities. Prospective employers like to see copies of examination results. This is the only way a student’s qualifications can be judged. This attitude greatly encourages the use of examinations, since it is considered it necessary for them to measure their capabilities.
